Employment disputes can be an extremely stressful and worrying time.
McGale Kelly solicitors have vast experience and a successful record of ensuring those dismissed or treated unfairly receive the compensation they are entitled to and deserve.
One such case in our portfolio was securing a £500,000 payment in October 2016 for a client who claimed she had been isolated and ostracised by colleagues.
After a week outlining the case in the High Court in Belfast, out of court discussions took place and it was announced that the breach of contract action had been resolved.
Barry McCaul of McGale Kelly and Co. in Omagh, confirmed later the client had been paid £500,000 plus full costs.
Mr McCaul added: “My client is relieved at the outcome, which will see her make a clean break from her employment with the Trust.”
The case received media attention. Read the full article here.
Employment law is complicated, challenging and ever-changing for employers and employees and we can act for both.
It is the area of law regulating the relationship between employers and employees. This includes what employers can expect from employees, what employers can ask employees to do and employees’ rights at work.
As an employer you may need advice on disciplinary procedures, dismissal procedures, redundancy and terms and conditions of employment. As an employee you may feel that you have been unfairly dismissed, had wages deducted incorrectly, not been given appropriate holiday entitlements, not had grievances properly dealt with or been harassed in your place of work.
Employment disputes are complex and very personal and you should always get legal advice as soon as an issue arises as strict time limits for taking action are imposed by the legislation. For further information please give us a call on 028 8224 3621 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
