Aoife Laird is from Omagh and graduated from University of Liverpool in 2007. She attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queens and qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2010. Aoife is a member of the Northern Ireland Law Society Children Order Panel and the Northern Ireland Guardian ad Litem Agency Panel.
Aoife is an expert in both private and public family and Children Order cases. In addition to representing parents and grand-parents, she also represents the interests of children before the courts on behalf of Guardians ad Litem. She deals with all other aspects of private client cases including applications for contact, residence, joint residence, specific issues and prohibited steps Orders and defending applications made by Trusts for Care Orders and Supervision Orders in relation to children. Moreover, Aoife would attend Trust Pre-Proceedings meetings, LAC reviews, Child Protection Conferences.
In relation to domestic proceedings, Aoife also deals with applications for/defence of Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.
Aoife has extensive experience in dealing with divorce and financial matters related to divorce and assets of the marriage. This area of law requires expert skill and attention to detail to ensure the best outcome for the client.
